Maytown PA 250th Anniversary Celebration

The 250th Anniversary Celebration of Maytown, PA on May 1st & 2nd 2010 was a really fun public teaching event. We had a great turnout and the town's Folk were delightful. We in captain Selin's Company were the sponsoring unit for this event. The event for the re-enactors was set up to represent the Lancaster County Militia under Col. Alexander Lowery commander of the Third Battalion.
Some of the other units that were present were the Donegal Township Riflemen, The PA Associators, and The Susquehanna Rangers.
Some of the Highlights of the event were the Children's formations & drills lead by Dave Biser & Larry Gorecki. The candlelight tours of the camp on Saturday evening. The Riflemen shooting contest on the street off the circle and last but not least Sunday morning foray to capture a clean port-a-pot for the camp distaff!
