On March 27th 2006 members of Captain Selin's Company gave a Revolutionary War presentation to Cub Scout Pack 221
of Vestal, NY The presenters were Tim and Kevin Traver and Rick Valent.
Rick wore the uniform of the Prueschenck Jäger Corps whom he is also affiliated.
Captain Selin's Company of Ottendorff's Corps came up against these newly arrived professional Soldiers from German who were sent to America to help fight the War for the British.
From April thru June 1777 they did battle in what was to be called the Jersey Campaigns. The Battles of Bound Brook and Short Hills were the two most notable.
We would like to thank Jeff Valent , Scout Master of Vestal Troop 221 for allowing us to make the presentation
of this part of American History To The Scouts. Our Guys enjoyed it!
